Mr. Narayanan
Krishnana was selected as one of Top Ten in CNN Heroes 2010-Everyday People Changing the World.
He is resident of
Madurai (Tamilnadu, INDIA) and was
an award-winning chef with Taj Hotels, Bangalore.
One day when
he was on his way to be an award winning chef at a 5-star restaurant in
Switzerland, something happened which changed his future life forever (Read the

Since 2002, he is
providing freshly-cooked meals to people for whom streets are their whole
world in his Madurai City.
Not just he feeds the
hungry people living on streets, he also bathe and grooms these people for them
personal cleaning & grooming was unimaginable.
In 2013, He went one step ahead and got ‘Akshaya Home’ constructed which houses apporx 450 residents who were earlier "living" their life on streets of Madurai.
Through 'Akshaya Home', the trust is now rehabilitating the Homeless/Sick/Old People/Mentally ill and such other people who were forced either by circumstances and/or their relatives to pass their life on streets.
Thus, the AKSHAYA TRUST is not just feeding hungry stomach but also providing dignity to living human souls.
